I hate SEO companies. Why is it they all look act and feel like each, other with zero creativity? O.k., I know hate may be a politically incorrect word, but in this case it sums up my feelings about SEO websites and products. My problem with the SEO industry comes from weeks of looking for whole and current SEO information. You might relate to a few of my top 10 list. As far as I can tell, 99% of all SEO companies on the web are carbon copies of each other.
10. Everybody is an "expert!" They must be joking. These "experts" are living in their parents garage, sparking the bong first thing in the morning.
9. Getting real information will cost me in blood. Why is it that the sizzle of SEO products over emphasizes the SEO steak? Then, when I get it, it becomes a doorway to repeatedly jack my wallet?
8. The websites are so f-ing sterile! The websites say "Hey, we are just like every other SEO company with a white site!" Good luck trying to tell the difference between true SEO and flim flam SEO.
7. Everything I buy will "super charge" my profits! Really?! That's great. because I was wondering how I was going to unload my collection of plastic buzzard beaks. How much traffic will I need to super charge my profits?
6. Everybody has a key to "the back door" of Google. Right. The only people with back door keys to Google is Google, and they don't give them away.
5. The dreaded "black hat SEO" warnings as endless page filling content. You can stop educating yourself reading this drivel, if you simply realize search engines frown on any type of spam marketing. Period. Black hat equals spam of any kind. Here is your diploma, now move on.
4. Everyday is "my lucky day" that I found the SEO sight I just found. All of my financial worries will be solved in 48 hours, and I will be on the road to "financial independence" lickety split. Here is a tip, there are no shortcuts. Earning money from a website takes vision, work, and tenacity everyday to make real money. You will also need a few utilities and analytical tools that you own to make your job easier.
3. I must attend some mucky muck conference. Why? Can't I learn this stuff in front of my computer in my jammies? I'll rip and burn the DVD a week after it's over.
2. The elitism is appalling. I don't want somebody explaining to me that my sight "needs deep SEO work." Translation: drink this magical elixir, and money will fall from the sky into my bank account, after SEO's drain it first! No thanks, Mr. SEO.
1. Snake oil selling websites can hit a top page rank, while long seated superior websites can be outshined by SEO tricks? I can't stand optimizing for a search engine. I want optimization for legitimacy. The long term value my site has over my snakeoil selling bretheren. I vote for SOL. Search Optimization for Legitimacy!
